Free Things to Do in Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach is home to many attractions that your family can enjoy including mini-golf, dolphin tours, and other fun attractions. However, it’s always smart to have at least a few free things to do in your plans. If you find yourself at your Panama City Beach vacation rental with some downtime, these free activities will add some fun to your day!
Spend a Day at Frank Brown Park
Frank Brown Park is a large park that offers a wide variety of things to do including tennis, ball fields, fishing, an aquatic center, dog park, and more! Some of the activities at the park are paid, such as the pool, aquatic activities, and private lessons, however, walking through the park to stretch your legs or visiting the playground are completely free!
Look for Seashells
Sure, spending a day on the beach is technically free, but going to the beach with the goal of looking for seashells is a different experience altogether. This can be an extremely fun and engaging activity if you know when and where to look. Low tide is when you have the best opportunity of finding a variety of shells, which is typically early in the morning before everyone starts arriving on the beach.
Explore Nature in Conservation Park
Another popular Panama City Beach park, Conservation Park is much more undeveloped than other nearby parks and places more emphasis on hiking, biking, and nature. The park has over 24 miles of trails on its nearly 3,000 acres of land. There also many pavilions and picnic tables available that are perfect for an outdoor lunch spot! Conservation Park is frequented by many PCB locals who are looking for a serene natural environment with wildlife and scenic walkways.
Visit the Pier Park Shopping Center
Home to many different shops, restaurants, and activities, the Pier Park shopping center is centrally located and features a huge variety of shops. In fact, there are so many different options that you could spend an entire day simply browsing the stores and checking out the variety of clothing, souvenirs, and beach items. Be careful though, such a wide selection can make it tempting to break your “free activity” rule!
Discover the Two PCB Piers
Did you know that Panama City Beach has two piers? The two identical piers are the M.B. Miller County Pier and the Russel Fields pier. We recommend walking on the beach around the piers where you can take some great photos and see the sights. While not quite free, walking out on the piers is $3 at the Russel-Fields Pier and $2 at the M.B. Miller County Pier. If you're looking to fish off the pier, a fishing pass is $6. Whether you choose to walk out on the pier or not, a quick visit to the pier should be on your list of PCB things to do!
Now that you have a list of free activities to do while you’re at Panama City Beach, make sure to book your Aqua condo rental so you can stay close to all the action!
