Located in the middle of the Florida Panhandle, the Econfina Creek Recreation Area is perfect for paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, and more.

This small river flows through a mildly hilly countryside with sections of whitewater rapids, offering one of the most scenic landscapes in the area. This park offers more than 41,000 acres to explore, including crystal clear spring waters like the Pitt Spring, Sylvan Spring, Blue Spring, and Williford Spring recreation area.

There are 11 named springs and a 24-mile designated canoeing and paddling trail that features the steepest fall in the state. Be aware of conditions before paddling as water flow may be too strong. Spend the afternoon at Econfina, which is home to more than 120 archaeological sites, including prehistoric sites dating back up to 12,000 years.
